Established in 1973, RIESW- RAJENDRA INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION AND SOCIAL WELFARE (राजेंद्र शिक्षा एवंसमाज कल्याण संस्थान), is a not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to uplifting underserved communities, particularly women and children. It has been working tirelessly towards improving society, driven by a profound commitment to social welfare.
With its registered office in Sitamarhi and administrative office in Patna, the NGO was recognised with National Awards in 1991 for its holistic approach to bringing societal change.
RIESW has been running several endeavours in the areas of elementary to higher education, Child Education, Women Empowerment, Health Care, Old age care, Skill Development Training/Vocational Training in collaboration with notable schemes such as PMKVY, BSDM, MNSY, NULM, NSDC NDLM, NRLM, NULM, etc., Family Counseling, National Integration Program/Culture Ageing, Environmental Interventions and Community Participation.
As a reputable education and social welfare organisation, RIESW conducts training in diverse sectors in Bihar and Jharkhand. It holds official recognition as a training partner by prestigious institutions, including the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Bihar Skill Development Mission (BSDM), Agriculture Sector Skill Council (ASCI), Telecom Sector Skill Council, Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council, Apparel Made-Ups Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council, Electronics Sector Skill Council, and Retailers Association's Skill Council of India.
