Women & Child Development and Social Welfare

Empowering women and children to create a gender-equitable and child-centred society is important to grow as a nation economically powerful and free from violence and discrimination. Understanding the importance of Women and Gender development and social welfare, the Indian government has created a separate ministry, "the Department of Women and child development, effective from 30th Jan 2006. The department addresses the gender gap, major to minor problems that obstruct the development of children and women.

What we do

We at RIESW, engage in numerous activities with the aim of promoting the holistic development of women and children. We conduct Family Counseling & Awareness Programs addressing issues such as Early Age Marriage, the Dowry System, Child Marriage, and other social evils in order to eliminate these problems and empower women and children by making them aware of their legal rights. Additionally, we organise programmes focusing on cleanliness under Sampurana Swachata Abhiyan.
